Biografy:

 

Maurizio Santori, born in Los Angeles (USA) on July 29th, 1960, is both an Italian and American citizen.

He is one of the founders of the Pessi Law Firm.

He graduated in law at La Sapienza University in Rome. His degree thesis concerned: ”Speciality outlines of the work in boating”.

He has been enrolled in the Rolls of Solicitors in Rome since February 8th, 1990. Santori has been carrying out forensic professional activity about Union, Social Security and Labour Law, both in jurisdictional issues and as a consultant and adviser in labour union disputes, and /or in the drawing up of union agreements and collective labour agreements.

He has been a lawyer in the Court of Appeal since 2004.

Santori represented and pleaded for several football clubs in the A Italian Series for matters of ordinary justice, administrative justice and before Sports Justice bodies.

He was part to acquisition procedures (lately to the acquisition competition for the majority stake of Alitalia) and company transfers according to article 47 law 428/90, to mobility procedures according to law 223/91 before the Unions, the Italian Premiership, the Ministry of Labour, the Region of Latium, or the Provincial Labour Management in Rome. He took part in meetings of the Guarantee Committee for the implementation of the law about strikes in essential public services, in order to settle collective conflicts.

As an expert, he participated to the drawing up of parliamentary bills and negotiations for the renewal of collective labour agreements, on behalf of companies’ and employers’ associations. 

He is a member of the commission working on the renewal of the National Collective Labour Contract for the companies enrolled in the Private Radios and Televisions Federation (FRT).

Former member of the Federal Justice Commission of the F.I.S.D. (Federazione Italiana Sport Disabili – Italian Sports Association for Disabled People).

He is assistant to Professor Pessi in the latter’s activity as President of the National Conciliation and Arbitration Board of Insurance Brokers (ANIA).  

Santori has been entrusted with the management of the Labour Regulations and Legal Office of the Lazio Football Club S.p.a.

He co-operated with the Chair for Navigation Law in the Federico II University in Naples. He wrote several critical notes about aspects of the so-called “Revisited Order To Resume Work” according to the article ­# 8 of the law 146/90 for the Review “Law and Practice of Civil Aviation”.

He is among the authors of the “Hypertextual Civil Code” published by UTET.

Santori took part to congresses and seminars about Labour and Union topics organized by Telecom (Italian Telephone Company) Italia Learning Service, Valtur, ASS.TRA (former Federtrasporti, Italian Transport Association), and by Cegos, Il Sole 24 Ore (Italian leading financial newspaper), Paradigma. Just to give few examples, the topics ranged from “Control on workers- between legal and illegal”, “Labour Contracts – The new Permanent Contract”, “The Commercial Agents”, “How to manage Union Negotiations”, “The schedule and Working Time of Public Transport Workers”, “Project Cooperation Contracts in Holidays Villages”, “Disciplinary Sanctions” and so on.
